Style Switcher

Published 22 November 04 by Justin French, 2 comments

… so I’m experimenting with a style switcher for a few days on this site. It requires cookies, and relies on HTTP_REFERER to redirect you back to where you can from, so it’s by no means perfect, but it works, and only required two quick Textpattern hacks, which I’ll eventually turn into plug-ins.

The one thing I can’t easily reproduce with the switcher right now is the inverted photograph on the home and the about pages, simply because I’m using a real <img /> tag, not background images. Of course, anything is possible, but I’ve got bigger fish to fry at the moment!

The position, labelling and whatever else about the switcher is bound to change over the coming days, so feel free to voice your opinion, and let me know if you have any problems.
