Jarkko’s Using Rails AJAX helpers to create safe state-changing links is the perfect primer for any one wanting to dip their toes into the edge of AJAX in Rails, learn a bit about request.xhr?, request.post?, partials and all that other slick stuff that we can now do with ease whilst also providing backward compatibility for those without Javascript.

Well worth the read. In fact I’ve read it a few times over the months.
