Multi Safari

Published 13 June 07 by Justin French

In the comments on my previous Safari 3 rant, Michel Fortin points out that he has a bunch of stand-alone Safari builds available for download:

These special versions of Safari use the original Web Kit framework that came with them, bundled inside the application. They will mimic original Safari rendering and javascript behaviours. HTTP requests and cookies however are still handled by the system and may not work exactly the same.

Thank you!

This leaves me wondering why the Safari 3 Beta couldn’t have been made available as a stand-alone app with it’s own embedded Web Kit, or at least that this was available as an option.
