Minty Fresh

If the absolute worst thing you can say about something as complex and detailed as Mint is “the font size could be a bit bigger”, then you know this thing has had a lot of work invested in it.

At $30 per site, I suspect Shaun is going to become a very rich man overnight. Stats programs like Urchin are bloated, over the top, expensive, awkward and require far too much clicking around to be considered useful.

In contrast, Mint is light, nimble, usable, fast and fun to use. Throw in a Dashboard widget (thankyou!) and I’m a very happy man.

If I was forced to complain about something, I guess it’s the price. $30 is perfectly reasonable for one site, and I happily paid it, but I’m in the “10 or more sites, only one of which makes me any money” category, and the idea of spending $300+ on Mint licenses isn’t exactly appealing. Perhaps there’ll be some kind of volume discount in the near future.

Either way, well done Shaun!
